As Obama expects to sign on the agreement of FTA in the next couple of days or so, now the burden of approval is on our congress who also have been dragging its feet for more than four years, busy reading each other's face to see who gets the better end of the deal, and coming soon, the congress will be flooded with sniping, squabbling, pointing fingers with vitriolic languages and political bickering. 

• expect to: S.가 ~할 것이라 예상되다
• burden of approval: 승인 부담 e.g. a burden of responsibility
• drag one's feet: 질질끌다, be deliberately slow or reluctant to act.
• read one's face: 눈치보다, 외적인 모습에서 사람의 성격이나 성격을 평가하는 관행(the practice of assessing a person's character or personality from their outer appearance)
• get the better end of the deal: 계약서에서 더 나은 결과를 얻다.
• be flooded with: to receive so many letters, telephone calls, etc that you cannot deal with them
• squabble: to argue with someone about something that is not important
• vitriolic[비트리올릭]: vitriolic language or behaviour is cruel and full of hate
• bickering: argue about petty and trivial matters.
• finger-pointing: the act of blaming someone for a problem instead of trying to fix or solve it.

With about a year left in his office, President Lee made a state visit to the US where he was greeted with open arms by Obama as a state guest, and he delivered a speech before the house and senate to address the need to pass the FTA  agreements to rev up our stalled economy, and he was moving to fulfill his business itinerary in a cloak and dagger maneuver that seems strainght out of James Bond movies. 

• cloak-and-dagger: 망토와 단검, involving mystery or secrets
• a maneuver[매뉴버]: a movement or series of moves requiring skill and care.

• rev up stalled economy: 정체된 경제에 활기를 불어넣다
• stall: v. it suddenly stops working because not enough power is reaching the engine
• it seems straight out of James Bond movies: 영화에서 나온

We are one of the seven countries in the world who had an honor to host four major sporting events: Worldcup, Summer&winter olympic games, World championship for track&field, and now adds the F-1 Nascar race in which we've evolved to another level and certainly helped evaluating the country's pride, and it puts the country on the map. 

• evolve to another level, evolve to the next level
